Chief Representative Officer, Rabobank Kenya
Kees Verbeek carries 20 years of banking experience within Rabobank. At present he holds the position of Chief Representative Officer at Rabobank Kenya Rep. Office. In his current role he is responsible for further development of Rabobank’s business in nine countries in East and Southern Africa. Previously Kees held the position of Senior Banker Africa coordinating all of the bank’s Africa activities from the Netherlands. He has ample experience in Africa, more recently he completed a 3 year assignment in 2013 in Tanzania where he served as Chief Commercial Officer with NMB, the largest bank in Tanzania. Prior to that Kees held several positions with the Food & Agribusiness department of Rabobank International, among others as Senior Relationship Banker for the Food Retail sector and Dairy Sector. Before joining Rabobank, Kees held executive positions in both the cotton industry and seed industry, starting out his career as an agricultural economist in Mali.
Kees has an MSc degree in Development Economics from the Agricultural University of Wageningen.
