Project Description
FtMA partnered with Farm to Feed with the aim of reducing food loss. A lot of food gets wasted due to not meeting market standards, but this does not mean the food isn’t fit for human consumption. Farm to Feed buys these market rejects and supplies them to schools in informal settlements and vegetable street vendors (predominantly women). The pilot is predominantly in the potato value chain, where the market rejects will be supplied to the aforementioned markets.
